A decade ago, Firenze went fishing and in our own inimitable enthusiasm and style we launched The Lighthouse.  The transition from the elegant Firenze to a jauntier Lighthouse was welcomed and embraced by our fabulous customers and friends.

A former West End dance star who danced alongside the great Rudolf Nureyev will open his new FitSteps® FAB fitness classes in Kibworth this January.

The nights draw in, the cold weather nips at our noses, and the twinkling lights of Christmas sparkle into the darkness. It is winter, and it is beautiful.

Optical Assistant Carol Barker celebrates her 30th year with Edmonds and Slatter independent opticians this November, making it her pearl anniversary! She joined the company in 1993 and has remained part of the Glenfield practice team ever since.

The ‘pink shop’ re-opened its doors, on Saturday 30 September, now an Interior and Architectural Design shop named ‘Interiors by Lloyd Harden Design’.

For many of us the summer holidays are done and dusted or close to being so. Summer holidays are great. It's a time to get away and unwind and take that well deserved break. While that is great, it does deprive us of one of our main assets when improving our fitness, consistency.

Boots are more than just footwear; they're our trusty companions for muddy adventures, hill conquering, and winter warmth.

Coming to terms with loss and adjusting to life without someone can be a daunting and difficult task. As part of our ongoing bereavement care, E.C. Gilbert Ltd, Funeral Directors, hope to help people cope with overwhelming feelings, including loneliness or isolation and assist the people in our community in rebuilding their lives.

You would think that optical professionals are the last group of people wanting to get mud in their eyes! But, at the end of June, Amy Coleburne and Mark Nevey of Leicestershire based opticians, Edmonds & Slatter set themselves the challenge of completing the notoriously muddy Wolf Run.
