St Peter’s, in Church Langton will be hosting a show with not one but four leading West End musical stage stars! They will be singing songs from the musicals, classical pieces and all-time popular favorites. This show is brought to the Langtons by The Village People and Encore Entertainment. They are back by popular demand, putting together a brand-new show to thrill the audience with high class entertainment which is not to be missed.

Trustees have had a busy few months looking after the Foxton village hall. We were fortunate to receive a Ward Improvement Grant, which enabled us to buy ten new smaller tables for the hall and a much-needed new noticeboard for the outside of the building.

First Aid Saves Lives

Charities and community groups in Leicestershire are being offered help from National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) to create or improve green spaces that can be enjoyed by local communities.

The Medbourne Classic, a classic car show, is set to attract around 200-250 classic cars and 2,000 visitors. It is on Saturday 27 June, and raise funds for the RAF Benevolent Fund, The Royal Anglian Regiment Charity, Pancreatic Cancer UK and LOROS. It takes place at the Medbourne Sports and Social Club, Hallaton Road, Medbourne, and is one of only three officially recognised Armed Forces Day events in Leicestershire. The Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Leicester will open the event.

Our annual Charity Golf Day this year is Friday 7 August at Market Harborough Golf Club.

As promised, more details on our event in June to celebrate the King’s birthday and Fathers’ Day. The Kings Head, Smeeton are hosting a Summer Shindig in aid of GEMS Charity on Sunday 21 June starting at 1pm. It is shaping up to be a fantastic event with a BBQ, Music, Tombola, Plant Sale, Raffle and more.

Kibworth Community Library celebrates its tenth anniversary this month, a milestone that speaks to the determination, generosity, and community spirit that have kept it alive.

Market Harborough Building Society has committed £1 million to local good causes in the past three years, with funding already delivered and further investment in its Charitable Foundation to support future impact.

It is noted that LOROS are one of four beneficiaries along with the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, Royal Anglian Regiment Charity and Pancreatic Cancer UK of an Armed Force Day extravaganza which will take place on Saturday 27 June at Hallaton Road, Medbourne, LE 16 8DR from 10am onwards.

I thought you'd like to know the total made at the clutter sale was £1500.47 which was brilliant. It just tops off our last few weeks, as we were honoured to be invited to the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace. This was a special occasion for both ourselves and GEMS charity.

will be holding a table-top sale on Saturday 13 June in Kibworth Village Hall LE8 0LN. From 10am - 12.45. There will be a good variety of stalls including home-made wooden goods, craft stalls, hand-made cards, jewellery, knitted and crochet goods, including lots of assorted home-made items, jigsaws, books, pre-loved clothes, a raffle and lots more.
