Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital will be holding a Christmas table top sale on Saturday 13 December in Kibworth Village Hall, LE8 0LN. 10am to 12.45.

At 5pm on Saturday night, 1 November, everything was ready for our annual bonfire and fireworks. The bonfire had been built with wood from the golf course and numerous pallets collected over the previous weeks. Crowd barriers had been put in place. The Guides, from Kibworth & Fleckney, were organised with their glow sticks, hot dogs and drinks for sale. An array of other hot food and wine & beer were available. Kids fairground rides had also been erected. Bright Spark Firework company had been setting up since late morning. The weather was clear, almost not a cloud in the sky, you could see the stars and the moon was rising, perfect, all we needed was a crowd!

Working in partnership with the South Leicestershire Medical Group, a new employment drop-in is being launched for residents living with a disability or health condition. 

We did it! After being runners up last year, we received the award for 'Voluntary and Community Group of the Year' at the second annual Harborough District Council community awards, in a ceremony held at Lutterworth College on October 9^th 2025.

At the Macmillan Coffee Morning in Mowsley Village Hall on Saturday 27 September we raised a total of £1103.70. I would like to thank all those who helped, all the stall holders and everyone who came and were so generous. It was a lovely morning, enjoyed by all, resulting in a great total. Hope to see you all next year.

Bridge 67 Butchers are giving back to their community with a cheeky style calendar all in aid of charity. The popular butchers have bought out all the props to take photographs of their staff in a ‘Calendar Girls’ style manner, which once compiled together will make a fun gift. With all profits going half each to their two chosen charities, MNDA, very much in the news at the moment with the recent diagnosis of Lewis Moody and Yellow Wellies promoting farm safety, it makes for a brilliant Christmas present for anyone with an interest in rugby and farming. These are two areas very much of interest for both John and Jill, the owners of Bridge 67 Butchers. Well what an amazing day we had. The sun shone and the people came. We completely smashed last year’s total, taking £1,600 on the day which was incredible. Through my JustGiving page an additional £838 was raised and with further donations the final total was £2,648.
