The photograph below shows some of our women and girl players ready for action on a Wednesday night at Kibworth Mead Academy where ‘Fleckney Spinners Table Tennis Club’ will be playing for the next year or so while Fleckney Sports Centre is demolished and rebuilt. Everyone is welcome to a free session at 7pm on Wednesday nights with coaching a free optional extra.

After Christmas, I’d like to reflect on recent events in our village. We held a successful Christmas Fayre with lively chatter and laughter. The following Wednesday, Helen Benton, our village Pilates teacher, organised a well-attended ‘LOROS’ Coffee morning, raising another £500 for a deserving charity. This added to the £200 raised from CoCo mornings and £300 from the Christmas Fayre.

A half-acre garden set around Blackfordby’s 'hidden' listed 300-year-old thatched cottage; 3.4 acres of paddocks; front and rear gardens to explore with extensive displays of snowdrops, which include a named collection as well as hellebores throughout; a large selection of mature Magnolia trees, specimen trees, several ponds, a waterfall and a restored well.
