The Well is a charity set up some years ago by St Wilfrid’s and the Methodist Churches to help meet the needs of people in the village. It began with a small café and pre-loved clothes shop. Expanded since to include a food bank and to provide or to signpost people, irrespective of their colour, sexual orientation or religious belief, to any advice or assistance they might need.

Foxton’s Christmas Fair will be held on Saturday 2 December in the Robert Monk Hall, Middle Street, LE16 7RH between 11am and 3pm.

Here in Smeeton, we love this time of year as we begin to look forward to Christmas and what better way to start than to come to our very own Christmas Fayre on Saturday 18 November, 2 - 4pm in the village Hall. Santa and his elfin helper will be in their Grotto to give out pre-Christmas cheer and presents; there will be great stalls to look at and fun activities to try your hands at and, of course, delicious cakes and mince pies that can all be washed down with mulled wine or tea and coffee. We try to keep the prices as low as possible to make the afternoon accessible to all. So please come and join us!

The new timetable introduced in October 2023 has been altered so the time of the 9.30am Kibworth Beauchamp Square to Leicester X7 is now set to depart at 9.25am. Please note Concessionary Travel Passes (aka Senior Bus Passes) are only valid from 9.30am. The 8.30am and 10.30am buses have not been altered. See the timetable here

We are delighted to announce that the Welcome Kitchen is back! It's starting up again for eight weeks from: Monday 30 October, 12 – 2 pm.

It’s been a very busy time out in the fields as farmers work all hours to bring in the harvest, for which we give thanks. Apparently, it’s a very good year for pumpkins due to the wet summer. Every cloud...?
