Our next meeting will be on Thursday 1 February at the Methodist Chapel Hall. Doors open at 2pm for a cup of coffee or tea followed at 2.30pm by a talk given by John Gilson entitled Tulip Time.

Our members have just returned from our annual visit to Potters Resort, Hopton-on-Sea, where the World Indoor Bowls Championships are taking place. As always, we were really impressed by the bowling skills demonstrated and hope we can be as good one day! We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and were able to partake in a wide range of other activities. These included snooker, swimming, quizzes, line dancing and even Morris dancing. The evening entertainment was first class and the food plentiful.

The membership now stands at 48, making us one of the largest clubs in the county. One third of our members being juniors.

Our December activities began on the 11th when our skittles team played against Loddington WI. The match was held at The Rose and Crown in Thurnby. The skittles alley, which was decorated with greenery, Christmas baubles and lights, looked really festive.
