What’s Going On? – Summer Changes in Kibworth, September 2026
Whilst the Kibworth & District Chronicle was taking its summer break life didn’t stop! So this is what we’ve noticed during the summer.
Signs have changed at the two Hunny Pot Day Nursery Group premises over the summer holiday. The Kids Planet Day Nursery company bought the Hunny Pot company back in April 2026.
Scarlett and Wildflowers left to go to ‘new larger premises’. Their short-lived time on the roundabout had brightened up that area over the last few months.
On Station Road the little-used KX telephone box was removed early one Sunday morning in July and the pavement duly tarmacked over! Did you use it? We doubt it as most people now use a mobile telephone.
The Kibworth Gas and Coke Company premises has a new lease of life with the opening of a funeral business. Good to see the building being used again.
The High Street has been given a coat of paint! Some of the properties have had a much-needed facelift.
The corner of School Road and High Street has been greatly improved thanks to the Keep Kibworth Tidy group and again this work is very much appreciated.
The High Street has been made more pleasing to the eye by the use of flower planters. Our thanks go to We Are Kibworth business group for this initiative.
At the Cemetery new waste bins have been installed.
