Blaston Show – June ’24

Crème de la crème of the region’s summer country shows

Running on its usual ‘last Sunday in June’ date, 30 June. Blaston Show kicks off with a Pre-Show Party on the Friday night, to which anyone can come. The cost is just £5 for adults. Children 12 and under get in for free – as do members and sponsors. There will be food, music, a licensed bar and great company.

Attracting around 5,000 visitors every year, this year’s show has a great line up of entertainment. Joining the headline Main Ring Attractions – Barrel Racing and the Jez Avery Stunt Show – are be the Marston Steam Engines, both running and on display. Always popular with the crowds, the Specsavers Dinosaur will be making a welcome return to the show. Also returning are the Aldabra Giant Tortoises. Not forgetting the vintage tractors, cutting-edge farming equipment, classic cars, livestock, equestrian classes, tug of war, a wide range of trade stands, and so much more.

Members of the Leicestershire Mounted Police are making a debut appearance at Blaston, taking part in the Rural Policing Display. Officers will be offering complimentary horse tack identification and marking to keep visitors’ valuable horse equipment safe. Find them near the main entrance. And let’s not forget the Blaston Hound Show, which attracts entries from as far afield as Northumberland and Dorset. As well as local pack The Fernie, in whose country the show is held.

With excellent shopping opportunities and money being raised for GEMS Charity and Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, what’s not to love!

Tickets can be bought online at or on the gate, which opens at 8am on the day. Entrance to the show costs from £5 for 13-16 year olds (12 and under are free) and £14 for over 16s. Blaston Membership is also available at £30 for two adults and two children.
