Foxton Gardens Society

We hope that in these difficult times you are enjoying and finding inspiration in your gardens; no doubt they are looking their absolute best and you are wishing you could share their beauty with like-minded gardeners.

We are pleased to let you know it has been possible to transfer our 2020 March, April and May speakers to next year.  Our day trips should also remain the same so 2021 will have an element of déjà vu!

Produce & Craft Show

It will probably come as no surprise that we have felt it necessary to cancel our Produce and Craft Show in September 2020.

We realise this action will be a great disappointment to many of you, particularly as we currently have so much more time in which to grow our prize specimens and show off our new found baking skills, together with our latest crafted creations.

However, it would be a shame if, following everyone’s efforts, it then couldn’t take place.  Hopefully we will be all the more enthusiastic next year!

Join the society

If you are one of those people taking up gardening for the first time you might like to consider joining our society once the lockdown has ended.

A comprehensive knowledge of horticulture is definitely not a pre-requisite to joining – it’s much more about learning and sharing.

Visitors of all ages are most welcome for £3 a visit (or £10 for a year’s membership) which includes tea, coffee and biscuits.

Obviously at the moment we don’t even know when we will be able to resume our meetings but do keep us in mind if you want to develop and share your new found interest.

Monthly meetings

Normally, our meetings would be held at 7.30pm in the Robert Monk Hall on the third Wednesday of the month apart from June/July/August when we have other gardening events.  At the moment it’s just a case of ‘watch this space’.
