School Road Chapel News

The Parish Council is responding to increased concerns about the traffic problems in the village. We all know that 'traffic is bad' but what does that mean? Who travels where, how and when? Rat running, school runs, road safety, air pollution, active travel. These are all complex issues requiring quantitative traffic data.

An eight week course on how to meditate began recently on Wednesday 5 June in Kibworth Village Hall. The weekly sessions are on until 24 July. Each session costs £7 and are drop-in sessions. Wednesdays 1pm-2pm. Everyone is welcome. Tel 0116 262 0317.

There will be a lot of opportunities for children, aged from thr and over, to join in the fun tennis sessions at Kibworth Tennis Club during the Summer Holidays, from Monday 22 July to Friday 23 August.

Kibworth Cricket Club has been confirmed as the host venue for the 50-over clash with Surrey on Tuesday 6 August.

On Saturday 29 June, 7pm onwards in the Kibworth Scout Hut there will be a pop-up pub and quiz. The quiz starts at 7.30pm and is £5 to enter. 

The young people have been busy this term, making the most of the great British weather both sunshine and, of course, rain!

The summer term has been as busy and productive as ever at KMA. Our Year 11 have impressed us with their positive attitude and determination throughout the exam season, which is now coming to an end.

Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital held a table top sale on Saturday 8 June, in Kibworth Village Hall, LE8 0LN, from 10am until 12.45pm. Sales will also be held on Saturday 10 August, Saturday 14 September, Saturday 12 October and Saturday 9 November.
