As we come to the end of the year in the library, we are watching our exciting new extension at Kibworth Community Hub take shape at pace. It’s not long since the first spade went into the ground, and we’re thinking already about decorating.
As the festive season approaches, the Kibworth crew is once again embracing the Christmas spirit and is thrilled to announce that Santa and Rudolph will join them for a special tour of the village on Monday 23 December,continuing our jolly annual tradition. The festive parade to raise much needed funds for local charities will start from Kibworth Fire Station at 1800hrs, and we warmly invite you and your family to join in the fun. Whether you walk alongside the crew or cheer from the sidelines, your participation is greatlyencouraged! With a busy few weeks ahead, Rudolph and Santa may need a few mince pies and carrots to keep their energy levels up for the journey. Hurray for Wimbledon (I mean the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, not the town or Football Club)! They are working to make their grass courts and flower beds as sustainable as possible in the way they garden. They’ve given up peat compost and are experimenting with alternatives.
