Kibworth Mill will once again be opening for National Mills Weekend giving members of the public an opportunity to visit the oldest mill in Leicestershire on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 May. Volunteers will show people around inside and outside the mill, giving visitors the chance to see the inner workings and marks left by the millers over the last 400 years.

On Sunday, 1 June 11-5pm a range of gardens in our village will be open to visitors. Refreshments will be available and (weather permitting) a display of classic cars! Entry is £5 (children under 16 free) Proceeds from the day will support St Andrew’s church and village projects. Please spread the word. We are delighted to announce that our CoCo mornings have started up again. Held on the third Wednesday of the month between 10.30am and 12.00pm. It was really lovely to see so many people joining us. As the weather improves and we can once again use our beautiful little garden, I am sure we will see many more people from the surrounding villages joining us, either as they take a ‘doggy walking’ stop or just decide to pop in for free refreshments!

One of the most rewarding pastimes is a short amble around a nearby local village. Looking at the various architectural buildings and admiring peoples’ front gardens etc. Luckily for us Harborough have a number of leaflets available which will guide one to see unusual or interesting features that the passing viewer might not notice straightaway.
