A comedy at Christmas with the feel-good factor

Did you know that Bridge 67 Butchers stock a fantastic range of over 30 British Cheeses? If you didn’t and you’re a cheese lover, then you certainly need to know about their Cheese Festival on the Saturday 6 December at the Kibworth Community Hub (formerly Kibworth Grammar School Hall) between 10am – 4pm.

Laughton Villagers and Friends Community Choir will be providing a festive evening of traditional and not so traditional Christmas carols at Lubenham Lodge courtesy of Maurice and Viv Thompson at 6pm on Wednesday 17 December. Tickets are Adults £10 (cash on the door to include a mince pie and your first drink) Children under 12 free.

The next event listening to some cool jazz tunes from local jazz quartet, The Fourmasons at cosy Kings Head, is on Wednesday 3 December? The music begins at 8pm and finishes round about 10pm.

The monthly public parish council meeting was held on 7 October at 7 pm in the Studio at the Kibworth Community Hub.

Here at Kibworth Community Hub, we are gearing up for Christmas; at the end of this month, Main Street Theatre Company will be performing their Christmas Show, Rhyme and Treason, a family show that pitches Griselda, Queen of the Night against Glenda, Queen of the Day. 

We’d like to start by thanking Kibworth Beauchamp Parish Council who have allowed our Scout Group to use the old library building by the village roundabout. Whilst we have loved using the Scouts Land this year, the weather is now making it too much of a challenge to be there every week and the use of the old library building provides our young people with a safe space to meet for weekly meetings.

Roll up! Roll up! It’s time to get your tickets for our next fantastic Christmas Musical, ‘Rhyme and Treason’. This fun packed show will be a delight to watch and has been written with all ages in mind. So why not start the Christmas season early and come and join us?

Having overcome so many ‘last minute’ crises - involving three major players - with ‘Jubilee’, our 25th Anniversary production, Last Minute Theatre is well on the way to producing its annual pantomime.
Written jointly by Helen Cullinane and Nicole Lambert, 2026 will bring a unique production of ‘Robin Hood.’
