Illston on the Hill WI invited John to speak and demonstrate the hula hooping. This is a talent he famously showcased on ITV’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’!  Hula hooping has an intriguing history. It dates back to the 14th century when people would use woven branches to create hoops for play and exercise. Today, we’ve come a long way enjoying modern hoops made from lightweight plastic or bamboo that cater to various skill levels and styles.

I see youngsters shivering on the football field these evenings. I'm glad that I play an indoor sport which I can enjoy all year round, flooding permitting!
