Kibworth Golf Club

The name of the South African wine estate Kanonkop is derived from a hill (kop) above the vineyard from where, years ago, a cannon (kanon) was fired to announce the arrival of sailing ships in Cape Town.

We are all excited that we will be performing a traditional Christmas concert for you on Saturday 30 November at Kibworth Community Hub! As promised, here are the details of timings and how to access tickets:

Our annual Greenkeepers Shield competition took place on 13 September. Robert Lodge, David Stevens and Dave Williams were this year’s winning team and are shown in the photo receiving their trophy from Richard Smith (our fantastic Greenkeeper). After 2½ hours of bowling we were all ready for the delicious fish and chip supper which followed the match.

Leicester Sketch Club’s Annual Exhibition celebrates the talents of 100 members for whom painting is a passion. The club meets in and around the county.

There was a knock at my front door today and it was Rosie Jarvis, one of the superb local artists who had exhibited at the inaugural Kibworth Art Fair on 4 and 5 October. She had brought us a ‘thank you’ card. What amazing feedback she gave and a grateful thanks that “fantastic local art was once again being exhibited and sold in Kibworth.”

It's over. We can't believe it. Players are gutted, players knees and aching backs perhaps less so.

It’s that time of year again where we start preparing in earnest for our forthcoming annual concert!

Well September has come and we will soon be off to Cheltenham for the National 1st Section Finals. Over the last few weeks we have been working hard in both sectional and full band rehearsals – once again apologies to the residents of Halford Road for the increased traffic – and hope to come away, if not with a prize, then a pride in our performance and representation of the Midlands Area.
