New signage?
Two new signs have appeared at Kibworth Court. Is this a new business?

Kibworth Cricket Club
Kibworth Cricket Club will be hosting Leicestershire County Cricket Club vs Gloucestershire (Group A) match on Wednesday 22 July from 11am in the Metro Bank One Day Cup. It’s the first game for both clubs in this season’s competition. Don’t forget to bag your tickets online from LCC. (www.tixr.com) £20 for adults or £18 for those over 67 years of age.
High Street improvements
Vast improvements to Kibworth High Street on the sunny side have taken place over the last summer! New frontage to The Well is to be installed; there is a new parish council noticeboard; and flower boxes outside shops and cafés have been revitalized.
Telraam Figures
One point that probably needs highlighting, among others, is that the Church Road monitor is within about 10 metres of the traffic humps and yet there are up to 25% of cars exceeding the 30mph speed limit and 10% of those exceeding 43mph.
And it is noticeable the even with the parking and narrowness of roads on High Street and Fleckney Road there are up to 25% of vehicles exceeding the speed limit.
Perhaps more traffic calming needs to be added to our High Street or a 20mph limit recommended especially with it being so busy with pedestrians as well as vehicles.
Keep Kibworth Tidy

A new community group aims to help ‘spruce up’ the Kibworths and make us all proud of where we live. The group has a Facebook page – started in January 2026 – where you can find details of the activities they have been involved in so far and their plans for the future. They are loosely affiliated to the ‘South Leicestershire Wombles’ to which they report the waste they find and bag.
There are lots ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures. And they show what can be done with a spade or a shovel, a stiff brush and lots of enthusiasm. If you are able then give them a go!
