LHS Inspection Report

LHS Inspection Report

As with all Independent Schools, Leicester High School for Girls is inspected by the Independent Schools’ Inspectorate, rather than by OFSTED. Our Inspection took place in November 2022 and I am both thrilled and proud to share our results.

Excellent Across All Categories

The Report confirms the excellent practice taking place in School on a daily basis. The School community is delighted to have received the highest judgement of ‘Excellent’ in all categories. The inspectors praised the educational quality of the School’s work, commenting that:

‘Pupils’ knowledge, skills and understanding across the curriculum is outstanding, strongly supported by carefully structured and well-paced lessons’.

The inspectors were hugely impressed with our pupils. The pupils are what makes Leicester High School so special and they continue to inspire us as we seek further ways to enhance the LHS community. In the review of the quality of the pupils’ personal development, the inspectors commented:

‘…pupils are pro-active, outward looking and seize any opportunity with zest.’

During the ten years of my headship Leicester High has been inspected three times. On each occasion the School has been judged to be ‘excellent’ in all areas. And we are fully compliant with all statutory requirements.

I am extremely proud to be part of a splendid and exemplary community. I would like to welcome you to read the full report, and find out more about what makes our School so special. The Report is available on our website www.leicesterhigh.co.uk.
