Market Harborough’s very own orchestra, is preparing to give its 22nd concert under the baton of Stephen Bell on Saturday 29 January at 7.30pm at the Methodist Church, Northampton Road, Market Harborough.

Welcome Back Concert

Secretary and flautist Frances Hynes says:

It has been a long two years since our last concert and we are thrilled to present our ‘Welcome Back’ concert. It will begin with Mozart’s dramatic ‘Overture to the Magic Flute’ followed by pieces from the wind, brass and string sections including Elgar’s beautiful ‘Serenade for Strings’ and Richard Strauss’s lovely Suite for Wind Instruments. We will finish with Brahms’s atmospheric and mood -shifting Third Symphony.

Our aim, as always, is to provide the opportunity to play and listen to great orchestral music in our home town and we are looking forward so much to welcoming everyone back.”
