Kibworth Cricket Club.

Up-and-coming fixtures.

The league season for seniors and juniors is upon us and we have just held our first friendlies in the April snow. It was so cold, but much relief to finally be out and playing cricket.

We have so many fixtures coming up and are also excited to be hosting various external cricket events including Leicestershire 2s through the summer. Keep an eye on our social media channels for all the fixtures, but every Saturday and Sunday there should be cricket on at KCC, and the bar will be open!

Clubhouse Update.

From last Thursday, 15 April, the clubhouse will be open on a regular basis to support and allow our members to have a place to visit and socialise through the summer. We have decided as a committee to not take any external bookings or events on Friday or Saturday evenings to allow us to ensure we can be open for all to visit and enjoy. The bar will be open as below:

  • Thursday – 5:30pm – 10pm
  • Friday – 5:30pm – 10pm
  • Saturday – 12noon -10pm
  • Sunday – 12noon – 8pm

Following government guidelines.

As per the government rules, our initial opening will be drinks outdoors with table service only and we will be setting  aside space to suit this. This should be a maximum of six people or two households only.

Ahead of the next easing, we will send further communications to let you know the plan for indoors. We look forward to seeing you all over that weekend for a nice cold one.

Volunteering.

We run the club as a group of volunteers, but with the regulations we have been under, it has been difficult to meet, greet and encourage others to be involved. If you are keen to help with coaching, scoring or generally helping with the upkeep, please do ask.

All-Stars.

For any parents with younger children the club will again be running the ECB All-Stars Programme and this will commence on Sunday May 8th. Please see link below for more details.
