Annual Exhibtion
The Kibworth Art Lovers’ annual exhibition was a particularly enjoyable event this year. Not only had our members been preparing their exhibits, but also baking cakes for our café which proved a popular addition to the exhibition. After months of planning and hours of setting up, we were well rewarded with record sales and a record footfall. We had in excess of 300 visitors, over the weekend.
During the event we featured pieces of work by Janet Alderson-Smith who had served on our committee for many years and who sadly passed away last year. Proceeds of £500 from the sales of her paintings have been donated to LOROS. Four other paintings were won in the raffle.
The public vote for favourite work went to Jenny Riseborough’s ‘Fontaine- de- Vaucluse’. Our thanks go to all our visitors for their valued support.
Next Meeting – 30 June
The next meeting of the Kibworth Art Lovers is on Tuesday 30 June, 7pm at the Kibworth Community Hub, when professional artist, Barbara Hatton, will present ‘Mixed Media Abstracts’. We welcome visitors and new members.
