Roy Mitchell’s recent presentation offered a captivating journey into the historical and architectural wonders of Stoneywell Cottage. A quintessential representation of Arts and Crafts ideal, nestled within the idyllic countryside and owned by the National Trust. Stoneywell Cottage has endured a rich tapestry of events, from its humble beginnings in 1898 to its current status as a cherished heritage site.

For over 30 Years my wife and I have been part of a group of UK individuals providing support to disadvantaged individuals in Uganda. Initially, we were involved with a charity (Friends of ACET Uganda) which provided AIDS/HIV Care, Education and Training. Subsequently becoming involved in rebuilding and supporting this school in a slum area of the capital, Kampala.

Recent Kibworth & District Chronicles have included news items and photos referring to the Kibworth Community Hub. This being the transition towards a new community hub on the Grammar School Hall site. It presents many welcome opportunities as listed by Kibworth Beauchamp Parish Council Chair Andrew Munro in the first Chronicle of this year:

June brings our footballing event for girls back for its second year running. The four dates offered throughout June are FREE to attend taster sessions hosted by Kibworth Town FC (see below for details). Our vision is to increase the profile of girls playing football and to increase opportunities to play for fun, fitness, skill development, friendships and team building.

Year 4 performed their production of 'Splash!' to friends and family in the final week of the spring term at Kibworth CE Primary School and what a performance it was!

All are welcome to visit and your first session is free.

Our County FA recently approached Kibworth Town FC to discuss setting up a disability football programme.
