Kibworth Harcourt Post Mill

Over the two days of Thursday 13 and Friday 14 February, Cameron Scott with the help of members of the KH Post Mill volunteers group carried out some remedial work on the mill following the annual inspection.  The Society for the Preservation of Buildings (SPAB) who actually own the building signed off the work which was initially on the brake wheel however other areas were looked at and where necessary maintained.

Three local pubs, The Railway, The Kings Head and The Bulls Head in Clipston kindly agreed to sell tickets for Christmas hampers raising over £470 between them, this is a brilliant amount. Alongside this, The Kings Head carried out a lucky square for a very large bottle of whiskey donated to us; this was drawn on their Burn’s Night raising £245 and won by a Smeeton local ….enjoy!
