Kibworth & Fleckney Rotary are hosting a fundraising event featuring two musical groups, the Leicester Grammar School Big Band and Youth Brass 2000 in a concert in St Nicholas Hall, Leicester Grammar School, London Road, Great Glen, LE8 9FL on Friday 21 March at 7pm. Tickets are priced at £12 each and are available from TicketSource.

More words and another challenge

An Annual Global Event which is prepared each year by a different country selected years in advance.

The Kibworth Art Lovers Society has been taking a winter break from meetings, but its members have not been idle. Residents using or passing by the Kibworth branch of the Market Harborough Building Society during December may have noticed on the display wall, a large artistic Christmas wreath, created by our committee members.

January and February are traditionally quiet times for the band with their thoughts and efforts concentrated on the Area Contest, which this year is back in the Civic Centre, Bedworth on Saturday 8 March.

Following on from the editorial comment in the January edition of the Kibworth & District Chronicle about volunteering, which quite rightly highlighted the importance of voluntary groups in our community. Volunteers are a vital part of society giving their time and effort to provide service, education and entertainment.
