The Welcome Kitchen will recommence in the New Year.  Starting on Monday 5 January and every Monday until Monday 30 March for just £5 per person one gets delicious homemade soup, tea or coffee plus cakes , a free raffle and of course excellent company and conversation. 12 noon onwards. Get there early before it is sold out.

Located on a scenic rural site in Great Glen, ‘Cheese and Pickle’ has become a valued destination for those seeking quality produce, thoughtful gifts, and friendly service. Owned by one time Kibworth residents sisters Sam and Sarah, the shop has continued to develop since they took it over in 2023, building on the strong foundations already in place. The shop was originally owned by another Kibworth resident, Kate Foster.

Kibworth Art Lovers' Society

To an artist, the benefits of sketching are invaluable according to professional artist and teacher, Helen Neave. In the November meeting of Kibworth Art Lovers, she demonstrated & spoke about the way she uses her own sketches when completing an artwork. Not only is sketching useful for training the brain, improving observation skills and hand-eye co-ordination. It also transports the artist back to the atmosphere of the moment. Notes taken whilst sketching remind the artist of subtle details to be included in a finished piece of work.

Kibworth Band

Those Kibworth and District Chronicle readers who watched the Remembrance Day Parade and service in Kibworth will have noted a somewhat larger Kibworth Band leading the parade. Those extra bandsmen were members of our Youth Band. We were delighted with their participation, which will hopefully guarantee the continuation of the parade for years to come.
