On Saturday, 4 October at 7:30pm in the Robert Monk Village Hall, Middle Street, Foxton, St Andrew’s Church are holding a Cher tribute night, with supported acts, Composed Chaos Duo and Anne Marie.

Monthly parish council meetings were held on 3June and 5 August at 7pm in the Studio at the Kibworth Community Hub. The meeting on 1July was a walkabout and started at 7pm in Jubilee Green.

HWu3a is hosting National U3A Week from Saturday 20 September to Thursday 25 September with a diverse range of activities. This presents an ideal opportunity to engage in novel pursuits and promote HWu3a within the Market Harborough community.

At Kibworth Mead we aim to give our students lots of different opportunities to shine. Two areas we would like to highlight this month are maths and athletics.

On Saturday 9 August, in Market Harborough Town Square, The Farm Came to Harborough, to show a tiny picture of how farming today is changing.

Do you remember M&S brands such as Collection, Collezione, Portfolio and Classic? The company has dropped them all in the last few years because, it says, “we have simplified what had become confusing sub-brands”.  

The big topic this summer has been the lack of water.

Leicester Sketch Club has been helping artists to develop their artworks since 1898, when artists met monthly to have their work critiqued. We continue the legacy with sketching, social activities and a couple of critiques a year, and have great fun all the while.

June – Our Minister, Rev Andy Murphy, returned refreshed from his 3-month sabbatical, a period granted to ministers every seven years for re-equipping, refreshment, renewal, and study.

On Saturday 26 July the annual Boules and Buffet night was held at the home of Iain and Denise Bell. The weather was kind and 36 people enjoyed the evening. Thanks go to Iain and Denise for hosting the event, Denise, Kathy and Lynne for the lovely buffet and to Lynne and Dave for organising the teams.
