Year 5 has been busy working on the Archbishop's Young Leaders Award to teach them how to be strong leaders who can drive change. The final part of this award is to complete a sustainability project. Year 5 has introduced ‘Super Shoesday. Walk to and from school every Tuesday!’

We began our outdoor season on 7 April with the first of our Monday evenings for all members and prospective members. If you would like to try out a game, join us at the Club between 5.30 and 7.30pm. on any Monday evening. Later in the year we will be holding an Open afternoon for new members – on Sunday 18 May from 2-4 p.m. Or you might prefer to join our ladies only afternoons on Tuesdays from 2-4 p.m.

“Oils feel precious,” was the response when artist Lesley Brooks was asked why some artists are wary of painting in oils during the latest meeting of the Kibworth Art Lovers. She then went on to demonstrate her own technique for mastering and enjoying this medium.

Kibworth Bowling Club

Our short mat indoor bowls season in the clubhouse is ending with some really enjoyable trophy competitions. The pairs league for the Hollingsworth Cup, after some exciting matches with close scores, has already been won by Sylvia Baker and Geoff Lidbetter. The team final for the Morrison Cup has yet to be played,while on Saturday 5 April members will be finally battling it out in a singles competition for the Rose Garden Trophy, which is a full-day event.

Covid 19 - The First Hug !

These photos are from 14 June 2020 when there was an easing of restrictions and people living alone were allowed to form 'support bubbles'. This is the moment my mum got her first hug in months - and it was with two of her grandchildren. It felt like a special moment.
