At the new location, Kibworth Golf Club on Friday 1 November, Kibworth & Fleckney Rotary Club are holding their Annual Charity Bonfire & Fireworks.

Did you know there is a new arts frontier Harborough Culture Café? Art, film, literature, music, performance. The cafe provides interesting and entertaining talks about the arts at Louisa’s Place. St Mary’s Road, Market Harborough, LE16 7DU, 6.30 - 9.30pm. The Culture Café started in April 2023 and the profits all go to arts charities.

It’s that time of year again where we start preparing in earnest for our forthcoming annual concert!

Following our disaster with the fireworks last year, and cancellation after Storm Babet and storm Ciaran flooded the field, and the losses that impacted on the Rotary Club members, the club has decided to move venues to Kibworth Golf Club. We take this opportunity to thank David Briggs for the use of his field and assistance with the bonfire over many years.

When you think of Texas you probably imagine oil rigs, cattle drives and cowboy hats, not birds. But Southern Texas is one of the top birding spots in the world due to its sub-tropical weather and mild winters.

Main Stage Theatre Company (formerly Kibworth Theatre Company and Main Street Theatre Company) are very excited about their new production, Holly Jolly Saves Christmas. The show is a must for everyone to get them in the festive mood and will appeal to those aged between five and a hundred and five.

Summer in Smeeton Westerby brought with it some really enjoyable and successful events. Our CoCo (coffee and conversation) mornings on the third Wednesday of every month, 10.30am - 12noon, have proved to be very popular and it is so nice to welcome not only people from our village but surrounding villages too.

We hope you all enjoyed your summer, all your donations and hard work to help GEMS Charity raise the funds to refurbish the chemotherapy treatment area at the LRI have been turned into work over the summer. So just a quick update for you all.
