There will be a lot of opportunities for children, aged from thr and over, to join in the fun tennis sessions at Kibworth Tennis Club during the Summer Holidays, from Monday 22 July to Friday 23 August.

After the great success of our New to Golf Ladies’ classes last year, our Club Professional, Michael Bent has scheduled another Ladies beginner group class starting on Monday 3 June at 10.30am for 4 weeks. Maximum of 6 ladies in a group, £5 each for one hour.

My name is Steve Taylor and I moved to Kibworth in 1988 and soon after I started a Taekwondo class in Kibworth village hall. I am an 8th degree black belt Instructor and have been practicing martial arts since the late 1960s and have been teaching Taekwondo for over 40 years.

The adult tennis summer leagues started at the end of April, Kibworth have entered four men's teams and three ladies' teams. The matches are played against other clubs in Leicestershire and over 55 people will be playing in the matches for Kibworth.

We are always proud of our sports teams, but this half term has had some exceptional performances, with both the Year 7 girls and Year 8 boys winning the County cup in thrilling finals at Seagrave, Leicester City’s training ground.

It has been a slow start to the outdoor season because of the inclement weather! We managed to hold our first home fixture on Saturday 27 April, when we were pleased to have a convincing win against Countesthorpe.
