We are saddened to learn of the death of Patricia ‘Pat’ Stops. For many years, Patricia ran a haute couture ladies' dress shop called "Patricia Charles" on Kibworth High Street. This was situated where ‘Wedding Belles’ is currently located.

In memory of Harold Mann

The Kibworth & District Chronicle is saddened to learn of the death of Harold Mann. Harold was possibly the oldest member of our monthly delivery volunteers. He was asked many years ago by the then editor Roger Garratt to assist with delivering the Chronicle on a temporary basis but continued to do so in his nineties. He will be missed.

Andrew Carter

One of the most respected composers of English Church music, performed worldwide in both choral and organ settings, was a former York Minster choir member whose work included conducting and advising in Europe, the USA and the Antipodes. Andrew Carter retained a strong sense of humour throughout his life and died at his home in York on Monday 5 January. He always felt he owed so much to his formative years as a pupil of Kibworth Beauchamp Grammar School.
