We hope everyone had an enjoyable summer in spite of the unusually wet weather.

Did you know there is a new arts frontier Harborough Culture Café? Art, film, literature, music, performance. The cafe provides interesting and entertaining talks about the arts at Louisa’s Place. St Mary’s Road, Market Harborough, LE16 7DU, 6.30 - 9.30pm. The Culture Café started in April 2023 and the profits all go to arts charities.

We all care about health and social care services. Would you like to be able to share your views of your experiences, good and not so good? Healthwatch Leicestershire is an independent patient and public voice for these services in the Harborough area. 

‘The Langton Arms’, a beloved local pub in Church Langton, has raised a glass to its grand reopening on Saturday 24 August after a transformative refurbishment. Led by General Manager David Phillips, the pub has undergone a significant upgrade, creating a vibrant and welcoming space for the entire community.

A Police beat surgery is scheduled to take place at The Well, 45 High Street on Monday 7 October, 11am - 12noon.

We are pleased to announce that we have finally secured the finance for phase one of the new development of the Community Hub to include the library extension. The work has begun. If you have visited the hub lately you will have noted that the old entrance is now out of bounds and we have a temporary entrance round the back, through one of the fire exits. This is clearly signposted, so hopefully you won’t get lost. Although part of the corridor by the hall is now blocked off, all our rooms are still open for hire and the hall is functioning normally. Unfortunately, the disable toilet is inaccessible, but we have made one of the other toilets disabled friendly.

Smeeton Road Recreation Area Makeover

Several people have approached The Kibworth & District Chronicle to ascertain exactly what is happening to the fenced-off cob wall opposite the Co-op. The pavement has been unusable for several months now.
