Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital will be holding a table top sale. It is on Saturday 10 May in Kibworth Village Hall, LE8 0LN, from 10am until 12:45pm.

Firstly, we would like to say a big “THANK YOU” to Andrew and Edd at The Kings Head. They and all their customers have raised an amazing £3,819.23 in their second year of trading. This just shows the generosity and kindness of this wonderful community. The money will go towards our new aim of working with a local establishment to provide a night of respite for LRI patients whilst they are receiving their cancer treatment.

We will be holding a table top sale on Saturday 8 March in Kibworth Village Hall LE8 0LN. From 10am to 12.45.

Who’s noticed the slightly lighter evenings and early spring bulbs starting to push their way out of the earth?  A sign of the warmer days ahead...

Three local pubs, The Railway, The Kings Head and The Bulls Head in Clipston kindly agreed to sell tickets for Christmas hampers raising over £470 between them, this is a brilliant amount. Alongside this, The Kings Head carried out a lucky square for a very large bottle of whiskey donated to us; this was drawn on their Burn’s Night raising £245 and won by a Smeeton local ….enjoy!

Following on from the editorial comment in the January edition of the Kibworth & District Chronicle about volunteering, which quite rightly highlighted the importance of voluntary groups in our community. Volunteers are a vital part of society giving their time and effort to provide service, education and entertainment.
