New Indian Restaurant in the village?

There has been a change on the island in the centre of the village which many of you will know about, I am sure, through the usual social media channels, however this is not apparent yet when looking at the buildings. Lighthouse Indian Paradise has been taken over allegedly by new owners and is now Kalcutta Brasserie.

The outside hasn’t changed. They do have a new telephone number which is 0116 3600 800.

Signage.

I am sure many people recognise this road. It is looking down Fleckney Road from a point near the Fire Station. Interestingly when was the ‘New Road Layout’ created? Was it during the latter half of the last century? These signs have no meaning and should be removed as soon as possible, surely.
