We are ready for Summer Season!
Eight teams entered as local club prepares for a busy league campaign
Kibworth Tennis Club is gearing up for an exciting summer season, with freshly painted courts, new LED floodlights and eight teams entered into the 2026 ‘Leicestershire County Summer Doubles League.
The club kicked off the season in style with an Easter event that brought 24 members together for an evening of competitive tennis and plenty of laughter. “This is what our club is all about,” said a committee member. “Great tennis, friendly faces, and a real community atmosphere.”
With fixtures beginning in late April and running through the summer months, Kibworth will field teams across men’s, women’s and mixed doubles divisions in the Leicestershire league. Home matches will provide a great opportunity for members and local residents to watch competitive tennis at the club.
The expanded league programme builds on recent success, with junior teams winning their divisions in the 2025 County Summer League and being presented with awards at the ‘Leicestershire Tennis Awards’ at the Leicester Tigers Ground.
The club is actively welcoming new members ahead of the summer season, offering great value memberships for adults and juniors. All memberships include unlimited court booking, social sessions, team tennis and discounted coaching. Members can join at any time of year, paying only for the remainder of the membership year.
Complete beginners are just as welcome as experienced players. Our social sessions run throughout the week. We can provide equipment for anyone wanting to give tennis a try for the first time.
