‘Great Athletes Day’ with a special visitor
On Tuesday 24 March, Kibworth Primary School had a very exciting day! We had a company called ‘Great Athletes’ come and visit our school and we were extremely lucky to welcome Anna Hopkin, MBE, to our school and visit the children.
Anna Hopkin is a two-time Olympic swimmer, who competed at both the Tokyo and Paris Olympics, even winning a gold medal at Tokyo!
We are absolutely thrilled with the children’s enthusiasm and astonished with the amount of sponsorship money raised by the children for completing a fitness circuit with Anna to raise money for new school sports equipment. The current amount raised stands at over £6000.
There was an amazing buzz all day; the children were extremely excited and the enthusiasm towards the fitness circuit was absolutely outstanding! We even got to see her gold medal and watch her world record winning performance!
