Easter at the Kibworth Benefice Churches

We welcome everyone to join us this Easter; we have services and events to suit all.

Reflective Easter Lunch at St Wilfrid’s Church Hall Thursday 26 March

A light lunch of filled jacket potatoes will be served from 12-2pm; join us for fellowship, prayers and readings. After lunch, the church will be open for anyone to pray or light a candle in memory of a loved one.

Maundy Thursday 2 April

7.30pm Communion Service at Kibworth

At this service Christians remember the Last Supper, when Jesus celebrated the Passover meal with his disciples before being betrayed and arrested.

Good Friday 3April ‘Stations of the Cross’

A simple service consisting of a series of ‘stations’ depicting scenes from the events of Good Friday, with prayers and reflections offered at each one. This will be held at:

2pm at Kibworth

7pm at Smeeton Westerby

Easter Sunday 5 April

10am Communion Service at Smeeton Westerby

10.30am Family Service at Kibworth

‘9.30 Express’ will not be taking place on Easter Sunday, instead we invite people to join us for a shared breakfast in the hall from 10am before our Easter Sunday Family Service with communion at 10.30am.

We look forward to a wonderful concert on 27 March at 7pm at St Wilfrid’s Church, when The Harborough Collective, directed by David le Page, will perform ‘O Albion: Echoes of England’. This looks set to be a fabulous evening of well-known pieces of traditional and contemporary music. Many thanks to The Friends of St Wilfrid’s for arranging this event.
