Happy New Year!

Christmas shopping event success

The Hub was very pleased with the success of the Christmas shopping event in December.  Despite the weather, a good number of people turned out to buy Christmas presents and children played on the bouncy castle. Father Christmas was on hand to give out presents and ensure that the right children were on the nice list.  Planning for this year’s event will actually begin later this month. We hope to make it bigger and better next Christmas.

Thank you

We are very grateful to all those businesses that donated raffle prize. We are aware that at Christmas, lots of good causes are asking for donations. So we would like to give a very big thank you to the ‘200 Strong’, ‘The Windmill Farm,’ ‘Minarik’ , and ‘The Beauty Room’. I hope I haven’t missed anyone off the list.

Renovations

Whilst on the subject of thank yous, we would like to thank all the local firms who have recently been involved with the work at the hall, both the new kitchen and the new office. ‘Hardy and Price’ did much of the work, but we also used ‘Kibworth Electrical’. ‘Kibworth Carpets’ supplied us with carpet tiles for the office.  The service we received was first class and rates were competitive. It just goes to show that you don’t need to look outside the village if you want work doing.

The next major work that is being planned is redecoration of the corridors in ‘The Hub’, which are looking a bit tired.

Last Minute Theatre

Don’t forget to get your tickets for Last Minute Theatre’s annual pantomime, this year they will be performing Robin Hood.
