‘We Are Kibworth’
A group of businesses/shops formed the Kibworth Business Forum last year calling ourselves ‘We Are Kibworth’. The group is made up of businesses with a ‘shop front’ either on the High Street or elsewhere in either of the Kibworths. e.g. Fleckney Road, Station Street, Harborough Road.
The businesses work together to support one another, coming together to form partnerships with others that are constructive and produce benefits for people that live in, work in and, visit Kibworth. The aim is to encourage trade and make the environment safe, pleasant and vibrant for everyone.
Funding and activities
We secured some funding last year to put on a Christmas event. In the summer, we also purchased planters which were placed around the village to add some colour. (See front page of last month’s Kibworth and District Chronicle).
At some point we may be in a position to become a fully constituted group so that we can apply for further funding to get more planters and other improvements. Maybe we could set up a Kibworth in Bloom group to help us with the ongoing maintenance? Would you be interested?
Christmas 2025
On the evening of the Thursday 4 December (the same evening as the parish council’s Christmas event) a number of businesses will be open to welcome people through their doors with offers of festive fayre, raffles, and craft stalls.
