In early November, 12 of Kibworth Town Football Club’s U9 group travelled to Merseyside, to face a group from Liverpool’s Academy.
Playing two hours of football across two pitches, our boys did the whole of Kibworth proud. Competing in all matches and scoring 18 goals along the way, earning praise from our hosts.
The 12 boys were challenged by their coaches at the start of the season to work and train hard, and opportunities to play where their heroes play would be their reward.
Liverpool follows on from some memorable games this season, including Man City, Birmingham City, and Leicester City. Kibworth’s U9 group are a credit to the club and their parents, and their coaches couldn’t be prouder of their development.
