Kibworth Community Library – Dec 2025

“I love my book club. We don’t always agree on the book, but we always agree that the snacks are good” ― Unknown

Book Clubs are often considered to be the realm of women. But there have been men only book clubs running for decades. Men have found that friendships can be forged over discussing a good book and other topics, some snacks, and a glass of something chilled (or a nice cup of tea).

Male book clubs often gravitate towards genres like military/war stories, science fiction, and thrillers. Although that is by no means the limit of their range.

Our existing book club is currently full. We are looking to see if there is any appeal for a Men Only Book Club to be set up in the library. If this is something you might be interested in joining, please drop us an email on info@kibworthcommunitylibrary.org.uk . Alternatively you can give your details to one of the volunteers in the library. Let’s see if we get this up and running!

We would like to thank Councillor Robin Hollick for his support in our application for funding for children’s activities and furniture for the library. The funds will be very gratefully received.

We are closed for Christmas from Wednesday 24 December, re-opening on Friday 2 January 2026. Our first Book Sale of the year will be on Saturday 17 January.

Whatever you are doing and wherever you are, we wish you a very merry Christmas and a healthy, happy, and peaceful New Year.
