Illston-on-the-Hill WI – Dec ’25
The AGM of Illston-on-the-Hill WI took place in November. The meeting was conducted efficiently and all business was dealt with in a timely manner.
The Financial report was presented and approved by all members. The Secretary’s Report was also reviewed and approved, providing an overview of the year’s activities and achievements. The President confirmed all current committee members were happy to continue their roles for the coming year. A warm welcome was extended to Anne Robinson who volunteered to join the committee; with her experience in organising the Young Farmers committees etc., she will be a real asset.
Once the official business was concluded, members enjoyed a lovely meal with wonderful Bake-Off standard desserts. The dining table was beautifully decorated creating a warm and welcoming feeling. All members received a ‘favour’ hand made by Hazel Cave – chocolate in a beautiful sleigh. So lovely.
A special thanks was given to all members for their help during the course of the evening and indeed the year. It was a perfect reminder of the wonderful group of ladies who make up Illston on the Hill WI.
Overall it was a memorable and enjoyable evening that reflected the spirit of our group. We look forward to another year of friendship, learning and community.
Next month we will be having a lesson in effective wrapping and associated decorations for Christmas. Our competition results will be revealed and our programme for 2026 will be issued.
