Kibworth Art Lovers’ Society

Kibworth Art Lovers

The Kibworth Art Lovers’ Society provides the opportunity for local artists from beginners to the more experienced, and for those who appreciate art, to attend monthly demonstrations and presentations by professional artists.

For those who paint, there is the opportunity to exhibit and sell your work in our annual exhibition and to take part in outdoor sketching.

Our Society was formed in 1993 when Joan Roobottom, Margaret Sutcliffe and Neville Cox (who designed the Rectory Lane area of Kibworth) decided Kibworth needed a Fine Arts Society. As members of the Leicester Society of Artists, they had no difficulty in finding monthly speakers.  Founder members include Nan and Roger Whiteway, now Honorary Members, who took on key roles to keep the society and its activities up and running for several years.

We are a friendly group of over thirty members and are now looking to boost our membership. We welcome visitors to our meetings, and we are open to new ideas!  For information, please see the Kibworth and District Chronicle Noticeboard or email kibworthartlovers@gmail.com .

Paintings by Janet Alderson-Smith are on display at the Kibworth MHBS, to be followed by those of Marjorie Walter in November.
