Kibworth Parents Association

Welcome back everyone to a new school year. To any new families attending Kibworth Primary School, a quick introduction. We are a registered charity consisting of parent and staff volunteers working together to help raise funds for the school, host events for pupils and their families and help enhance the school community.

Since the last edition of the Kibworth Chronicle we had our wonderfully successful Summer Fair. We hosted hundreds of visitors and raising over £2,600. Thank you again to our sponsors ‘Bridge 67 Butchers’, ‘Oven & Hob’, ‘Toynamics’ Fox Country Propertie’. We also hosted a free breakfast picnic for pupils and their families at the end of the term, and held play sessions for the new reception starters over the holidays. Our hope is to be able to repeat these events in future years.

We are starting this fundraising year with two exciting new events.

Our virtual balloon race will be happening between Monday 22 September and Thursday 25 September. Anyone can support our charity by purchasing a balloon online at www.balloonrace.net/kpap. Balloons cost £3 each, and there are prizes for the three balloons that travel the furthest by the end of the race. The first prize being a £50 Amazon voucher. Prizes will be sent to your email. All details can be found on our website and social media pages. The closing date to purchase tickets is Thursday 18 September.

We are also fundraising through the collection of old and foreign currency. Any coin or bank notes can be donated to the school during September. This is great chance to clear out any leftover holiday currency or old coins at the back of your drawers. We can take all types of coins and notes, including those that cannot be exchanged at banks or travel bureaus. All details are, again, on our website.
