Kibworth CE Primary School Hosts Inspirational Careers Day

Kibworth Primary School recently hosted an inspirational careers day for all KS1 and KS2 pupils. The day was organised by Mrs Matthew and the MYPATH team. MYPATH are a local business that delivers careers education in a unique and exciting way! The event was a huge success. It provided children with a fabulous day filled with engaging activities and opportunities to learn about the world of work.
The day began with an exciting and engaging talk by Mel Thomas QPM, who shared his incredible journey through policing and his current role as a key figure in the popular TV show, ‘Hunted.’ His talk set the tone for an inspirational day ahead.
A series of activities
The MYPATH team delivered a series of activities that allowed pupils to explore various careers in a fun and exciting way. Conversations ranged from ‘What is a Job?’ to Year 5 students exploring how AI could impact the future world of work.
All Key Stage 2 pupils had the opportunity to meet and quiz a range of volunteers from various industries. They learned more about the realities of work gaining valuable insights into different career paths.

Headteacher Nikki Matthew expressed her gratitude to the MYPATH team for their efforts in making the day a success. “Thank you to all involved at MYPATH for ensuring the children had such a fabulous day! They got so much from it and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to quiz our volunteers about the world of work,” she said.The MYPATH team also expressed their delight at being welcomed into the school and their excitement for future events. “We can’t wait to deliver something equally as awesome next year,” they said.
