What’s Going On – June 25

What's going on?

Kibworth Beauchamp Parish Council Noticeboard

Is now located on the wall of The Well. It has moved from the wall of the Manor House across the road and has been completely refreshed. This is where you will find all the activities of your local parish council including details of the next meeting you can attend.

Bus Stops and Timetables

A visit to the bus stop at The Square (or The Bank, as locals call it) Kibworth would indicate that the X3 service to Market Harborough and to Leicester does not operate on a Sunday on one face of the timetable display. However, contradictorily, there is an X3 timetable on a second face which shows there has been an hourly X3 Sunday service since 25 April 2025.

It is good to observe that the bus stop on Leicester Road, Kibworth has, at long last, been changed to Rose Yard. It used to be called Raitha’s however this business ceased trading as long ago as 2017!

The new LC4 service timetable was revised on 2 June 2025. This bus’s route covers Market Harborough town centre; St Lukes Hospital; Robert Smyth School; Great Bowden; Foxton; Kibworth Beauchamp, Kibworth Harcourt; and Fleckney.

The Langtons are no longer served by this bus.

Cricket Match

Anyone following local county cricket will be pleased to know the team currently at the top of the two divisions, namely Nottinghamshire CCC (Division I leader) and Leicestershire CCC (Division II leader) will be playing each other at wonderful Kibworth Cricket Club ground on Tuesday 13 August in the Royal London One-Day Cup. It is an 11 o’clock start.

Tickets are available online. Adults £18. Junior (Under 16) £7. Family ticket (2 adults and 2 children £36.

Traffic Survey

Another traffic count is taking place on Fleckney Road, Kibworth. Surely the people who set this in motion know it is a very busy road.

Warwick Park Recreation Ground

It is nearly a year since the much used, and very much appreciated by those who use it, skate park finally opened. The building of the said skate park necessitated a large area of the park being fenced off. Sadly, the fenced area is still there and it is looking rather unkempt and uncared for. Is this to become another wild flower area?
