Dear Editor,
The kindness of strangers
I would like to thank the extremely kind lady who paid for my groceries at Kibworth Co-op when I arrived at the checkout to find I had left my wallet at home.
I had a little cash in my pocket, but she would not allow me to return items, and insisted that she paid a not insignificant amount so I could have them all.
She would not give me her name or address to return the money and told me to just go home and enjoy my purchases. I will be giving the same amount she gave to me, or more, to a local charity.
I wish to thank her for helping me out and for also restoring my belief in the goodness of humankind.
