What’s going on?

The recent drop-in session run by the planning department of Harborough District Council held in the new library space of Kibworth Community Hub was reasonably well attended. There were maps of the proposed areas suggested for development in the plan which is for the years to 2041. Also a number of officals were in attendance to answer questions where they could.

Walking around Warwick Park another bench has been installed close to the orchard. This is a helpful addition and a great place to stop and watch the footballers and dog walkers. Congratulation to the Joint Recreation Committee. Another bench between the new School Road railway bridge and the gate to the primary school would be appreciated.
More walking.

A wander across land near to Wistow it was noted that the land has been professionally fenced such that a spacious corridor has been formed. Upon reading the sign (see above) the land owner (Wistow Estate) is trying to restore nature for future generations. It is a 30 year initiative to help nature recover by creating habitats that will provide homes and food sources for a variety of wildlife. We look forward to this project taking shape over the coming years.

A visit to the newly finished Kibworth Community Hub foyer there is a welcoming television screen highlighting what is either taking place or for what functions the Hub can be hired out.

Finally the new School Road bridge is partially closed for work on the wall adjacent to the bridge. This remedial work will take nearly a month the finish.
