A Living Millennium Project – The Foxton Millennium Avenue

Now a quarter of a century old. It is to be found along Langton Road, Foxton and it a wonderful lasting display. It’s the Foxton Millennium Avenue.

One of the projects undertaken to commemorate the arrival of the third millennium in the year 2000 was the installation of 150 English Oaks. Each tree was sponsored by an individual residing in the village or with a connection to Foxton.

A diorama is conveniently located at the Robert Monk Hall in Foxton, providing detailed information about the trees’ location and the sponsoring individuals.

We eagerly anticipate the maturation of these trees over the coming years.

Well done, Foxton!
