A True Blaby Pearl
In April, Laboratory Administrator Lynn Shalvey marks her 30th year with Edmonds and Slatter independent opticians. Just as the pearl symbolizes a 30th anniversary, Lynn’s tireless dedication behind the scenes in managing the spectacle glazing lab, akin to the hidden gem within an oyster, has not gone unnoticed.
The in-house glazing lab has seen many changes over thirty years including expansion to cover five practices alongside updates in technology for optical lenses, glazing equipment and ordering systems. The one constant that has remained is Lynn herself.
To celebrate her remarkable commitment, Tim Cole, Director at Edmonds and Slatter Opticians, presented Lynn with a bouquet of flowers, a certificate recognising her 30 years of service, and a luxury weekend break in London. Tim expressed his gratitude for Lynn’s enduring hard work, describing her as a true pearl whose loyalty, conscientiousness, and diligence significantly contribute to the success of the business.
