Now and Then

One of the few constants in our lives today…..

In this world of great turbulence and many wars – not only Ukraine and Russia, Israel and Gaza but also in Myanmar, Columbia, and the very many countries of Africa – it is only right and proper that we take two minutes to stop, stand quietly and reflect on those who have perished in conflicts since 1918.

And be eternally thankful and grateful that we can live safe lives here in this peaceful rural corner of South Leicestershire.

Our pictures show us paying our respects today (2023 and 1987, some 36 years ago) as we have done in all previous years except when Covid-19 prevented us from doing so. Let this not change.
