The Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Award in conjunction with ITV Central

GEMS Charity

GEMS Charity is proud to announce the charity’s founder Sally Anderson has won the Pride of Britain regional final and is invited to the national final awards dinner where she will be one of the guests of honour.

Sally said, “I’m so honoured to have been given the East Midlands Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Fundraiser Award. Charity work and fund raising isn’t down to one individual, without my friends, family, trustees, volunteers and supporters nothing would happen. So this award is for everyone involved in GEMS Charity. Thank you all so much for everything you do, you are all very special people”.

GEMS held a quiz night at the Kings Head; it was great to see the pub with so many people taking part after such a long time. The social distancing and table service for drinks went without a hitch. The good news we raised a fantastic £210.

Why not join us at our next fundraiser on Monday 8 November? Enjoy an Indian meal, eat as much as you like, three course buffet. At Cuisine of India, Kelmarsh Avenue, Wigston, LE18 3QW. The cost is £20 per head and it will start at 7pm.

To book your place please contact Sally (0116) 279 3814
