I fully understand how difficult it must have been for our medical practice over the past year and they have done a tremendous job of vaccinating us all. I am now able to see my dentist, optician and hairdresser but seemingly there is no possibility of talking to or seeing a doctor.

I telephoned the [SLMG] practice and after holding was told to call back later in the week. My next call, on the 12 May, I was told there was no availability but there may be some at the end of the month.

Am I alone in thinking that this is unacceptable? I have friends in other parts of the UK who seem not to have this problem able to see or talk to their GP within 48 hours.
